My focus as a doula is helping you prepare for and enter your birth from a place of peace. Whether you are here for prenatal education, birth, or postpartum care, at HCDC you will receive professional support from a fellow Christian mother and your sister in Christ.
Postpartum is a vulnerable and irreplaceably important time for a mother and her new baby. And to be quite honest, it is a time that throughout history and in many other cultures is ‘done’ a lot better than we commonly see it lived here in Canada.
Every mother, after every birth needs a serious amount of time to rest, recover, and bond with her baby. I want your postpartum to be a gentle time of rest from external pressures while you do the round the clock job of caring for a new babe and recovering from the intense work of pregnancy and labour.
A postpartum doula can make a great addition to your recovery plan. I will give you a place to process, seek information, and ease the tension of this intense time with knowledgeable and caring assistance.
