About Birth Doula Support

Doulas are professional companions on your birth journey. We are trained to provide a labouring mother with physical, emotional, and informational support. North America is seeing a reawakening in mothers, who are believing once again in their God given ability to birth children. More and more women are choosing to add a doula to their birth team as they plan for the birth experience they desire.

 

As your birth doula I will be available before, during, and after your labour to be there for you in the ways that will specifically help you to feel supported, cared for, and at peace.

Birth Doula

Support Package

  • $1300
  • 2 Prenatal visits
  • Prenatal class (virtual or in-person) with handouts and resources
  • Continuous phone, text, and email support throughout pregnancy
  • 24/7 on call support from 38 weeks onwards
  •  Continuous birth support during labour and immediate postpartum support
  • 1 postpartum visit (2 hours) to debrief birth, and offer support as needed (includes a nourishing meal prepared for you)
  • 6 weeks postpartum phone, text, and email support

  • Which areas does HCDC serve with birth doula care?

    In-person birth support is currently available in Brantford and Brant County. Virtual support is available across North America. Please contact us for more details on customizable virtual support.

  • What if I have something else in mind to include for birth doula care?

    At your free consultation, we can discuss what kind of support would best serve you and your family. Birth support hours are customizable with each individual contract.

    Doula support is really for all stages of the childbirth experience, and I am happy to create a plan that will offer you the kind of care you are hoping for or refer you to someone who can offer what you need.

    Also, postpartum/prenatal doula hours are always available to be booked in addition to birth services.
