Why choose an individual and customizable in-person prenatal class over something standardized and taught at mass?

A one-on-one childbirth class allows you to absorb the information you need to go into this particular labour you are approaching with confidence. Customizable, means that I will teach you this class in conversation with your previous experiences, current understandings of childbirth, and personal preferences in mind.


When we meet one on one in-person, I can focus on the areas of childbirth education that are going to be most helpful to you and/or you and your birth partner.

In the comfort of your own living room, I will come and help you and your birth partner prepare for your upcoming labour and delivery. This individual and customizable class will cover all the basis of prenatal education necessary to give you a confident foundation on childbirth and teach you how to manage labour well. One benefit of an in-person class is the hands-on help I can give you and your birth partner in learning effective labour positions and physical supports. For Christian parents, this class is a unique opportunity to receive prenatal education from a Christ-centered perspective, and to learn about integrating prayer into your childbirth preparation.

  • I am not a Christian, could I still benefit from taking this class?

    Absolutely! HCDC approaches prenatal education from a Christian perspective, but the content of your individual class does not need to include the overtly Christian aspects of childbirth preparation such as discussion on prayer etc. 

  • What if I live outside the areas you cover with in-person prenatal classes?

    HCDC offers virtual prenatal education as well, which is available anywhere!
